When does a custom size rug make sense?

Standard sizes fit most rooms, but some spaces call for a made-to-measure rug. In those cases a custom size gives a better result in both looks and use.

When does it make sense?

• When elements such as a column, an alcove or a fireplace break up the floor plan.
• When the hallway is long and the standard runner lengths are not enough.
• When an L-shaped sofa covers the corner of the room in an unusual proportion.
• When you want a rug that wraps around three sides of the bed in the bedroom.

When measuring

1. Measure the space at two different points; walls are not always parallel.
2. Note which way the doors open and the gap under each door.
3. Decide in advance how much of the furniture will sit on the rug.
4. Mark the size on the floor with tape and live with it for a day.

How is the price calculated?

For custom sizes, the price is calculated per square meter: the length is multiplied by the size band that the width falls into, then by the product's price per square meter. When you enter the width and length on the product page, you see the total instantly.
